It is hard to believe that we just wrapped up Day 3 of IPBC Ignite hosted by the Institute of Professional Bookkeepers of Canada. And like every day that I have attended, we’ve had breakout sessions to help attendees focus on helping you, the customer.
Today, I decided to spend time with the 40+ vendors so that we can bring this information to you, our reader.
The vendors range from app partners that want to help the accounting professional to the app partners that focus on the end user, our customer. Accounting software, A/P and A/R apps, finance apps, mileage apps and payroll apps are just some of the players that I spoke to today.
Accounting Apps for Your Business
Let’s start with the accounting apps and platforms. Of course, we should start with the Platinum sponsors of the conference, and that would be Intuit and SAGE. Intuit Canada provides a robust cloud-based and desktop platform that has a relationship with a number of partners in the industry.
Our practice focuses on the cloud-based applications and how we can provide an opportunity to educate the customer and other business professionals on the revolutionary change to accounting in the 21st century. We feel that it is important to look at all of the platforms and what they can provide to either the consumer or the professional.
Among the players attending IPBC Ignite this week:
- Intuit – Jessie Bull – (905) 366-9630
- SAGE – Sales – (866) 966-7243
- Freshbooks – Sales – (866) 303-6061
This is not a complete list, but let’s be honest, you would not want me to list all 40+ vendors: you might get bored before we got to the end.
Software as a Service Apps
Remember, though, we come to this conference to expand our knowledge of the applications (or Software as a Service) and platforms out there to you, the end user. After spending the day walking the vendor floor and listening to what each vendor had to say, we found a few to bring to your attention. For example, Mile IQ.
A mileage tracker, Mile IQ is very simple and easy to use. We are talking (literally) about the swipe of a finger to organize your mileage as personal or business travel. It truly offers simple and straightforward tracking that reports the mileage you have travelled over the course of the year for your business.
And, if you know me, you know that this is important for business owners.
We love finding these types of apps to help you at a very cost-effective price (starting at FREE). If you are ready to check out Mile IQ, then contact Megan Roth (here) and get connected or reach out on our website, and we can hook you up with a discount code to decrease the monthly costs.
So what about a point of sale system that not only allows for you to accept payments that are credit, but debit too? Are you ready to forgo monthly fees? Are you ready to pay a one-time fee of $99? Then you need to be checking out DreamPayments.
DreamPayments is a platform that integrates with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and makes your life easier by posting the payment on your behalf in QBO. One more way to create less work in your office! Are you interested in learning more? Connect with Christian Ali at DreamPayments – (416) 454-0490.
We are super excited to connect with all of these partners today. As a matter of fact, I have made some interesting new relationships that may be beneficial to one or more of our current customers. This is why we attend conferences like this. Can’t wait to share with you about our final day at the conference!
Until the next time,
